Symptoms_
During a maintenance task, higher versions of the agent and protection than those currently available on your Advanced EPDR/EDR Release 16 console were temporarily published in the catalogs. This means that endpoints that communicated during that time (approximately an hour) and had the agent or protection upgrade enabled in their settings have been able to upgrade to these versions.
This action may have led to:
- Windows agent upgrade from v1.22.01 to v1.22.03.0000
- Windows protection upgrade* from v8.00.23.0001 to v8.00.23.0002
- Linux and macOS protection upgrade from v3.05.00.0001 to v3.05.00.0050
*A reboot might be requested to complete the upgrade.
These new versions are fully certified and widely distributed among our customers. The only difference between them and the version currently available is additional communication security.
Workaround/Solution_
This issue has now been resolved. We are reviewing our internal processes to avoid this situation from happening again in previous platform versions. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
