Solution
What happens to existing term licenses?
If on 1 April 2026 you have an active term license for Advanced EPDR/EDR, we will provide an extended retention period for 365 days of data retention time through to the expiration date of your term license.
The expiration date of the extended retention period is the same as the expiration date of the core product license active on 1 April 2026. For example, if you have an Advanced EPDR/EDR for 50 licensed endpoints on 1 April 2026 that expires on 1 January 2029, the extended retention period (365 days) will continue until 1 January 2029. After 1 January 2029, the new data retention policy will apply (90 days).
If you add licensed endpoints or extend the Advanced EPDR/EDR license during the extended data retention period, 365-day data retention for the new licensed endpoints or license continues until the core product license expires on 1 January 2029. After 1 January 2029, the new data retention policy will apply to all licensed endpoints (90 days).
What is the data retention period for existing Cytomic Nexus monthly subscription licenses?
If on 1 April 2026 you have a Cytomic Nexus active monthly subscription license for Advanced EPDR/EDR, we will provide an extended retention period for 365 days of data retention time until 1 April 2027. After this date, the new data retention policy will apply.
When does the new data retention policy apply?
Effective 1 April 2026, the new data retention policy applies to new licenses and renewals, except for:
- Cytomic Nexus monthly subscription licenses where the new data retention policy is effective after 1 April 2027.
