Symptoms_
Windows endpoints with Advanced EPDR/EDR protection versions 8.00.21.XXXX or 8.00.22.XX12 can experience issues when trying to perform backup copies.
Solution_
A hotfix is available to resolve this issue.
To apply a hotfix on the affected endpoint:
- Download and save the hotfix file to the endpoint: hotfix_shadowcopies_gui_8.00.21.x.exe
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- If prompted, to fully apply the hotfix, restart the endpoint.
